Christmas Cheer for Kids of PFC: Holiday Gifts & Sing-Along
This year SpreadKindness.org will be hosting another kindness event at the Pittsburg Family Center (PFC).
Please join us this year in adopting a child or family from the PFC. The PFC is a transitional, supportive housing program in Pittsburg, CA that houses homeless families and provides them with the services and tools to become independent and self-sufficient. The family center is housed in an eight-unit apartment complex. PFC houses about 8 families, with a total of 20 children ranging in age from 1 to 17.
You’ll have the opportunity this year to donate Gifts, attend a Wrapping Party, hand out Presents at the PFC, and join a Sing-Along! We have the children’s ages and wish lists, so it will be easy and GREAT FUN! :)
Our goal is to provide each child with one wrapped gift, plus a stocking stuffed with inexpensive toys.
There are several participation levels to choose from, so you can get as involved as you’d like…and help spread love, kindness and holiday cheer!
A Partridge in a Pear Tree Level…You want to donate money, but don’t have any time!
Who says great things don’t come in small packages…a partridge is just the right size for a pear tree! Not enough time to go shopping and handle everything else in your schedule? We’ll take your donation, and go shopping for you! No worries – easy peasy!
Two Turtle Doves Level…You want to donate a gift!
By far the best things come in twos! You’d like to get a wonderful $20 gift for a little boy or girl in need and brighten their holiday season! We’ll give you the name and age of the child, you buy the gift, and bring it to us.
Three French Hens Level…You want to donate a gift AND your time!
Get the most for your buck… have the full Days of Christmas experience! You’d like to give a gift, plus join in the wrapping party on Saturday (in San Ramon), and be there for the event at the PFC on Sunday!
Four Calling Birds level…You want to donate your time!
Now this one might be the right calling! Are you short on funds but still want to spread cheer? This is the only time you’ll be able to have your cake and eat it too! You’re ready to wrap gifts and stuff stockings with us on Saturday!
Five Golden Rings level…You want to donate items!
Silver or Golden… not quite sure? You don’t have the time or money, but due to some freaky phenomenon you just so happen to have some Santa/Elf hats, rolls of wrapping paper, tags, tape, ribbon, candy just laying around…we’ll take these off your hands and use them for the party!
Just get back to us with what level you desire, and we’ll set you up!
SpreadKindness.org is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your contributions are tax-deductible!
DEADLINE - Santa’s elves are pretty strict about this. Please have your donations to us by December 15, preferably sooner.
On Saturday, December 17th, we’ll wrap all the gifts, stuff the stockings, and learn some songs in San Ramon (Address provided when you confirm your attendance)!
WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE SANTA OR MRS. CLAUS? We’re hoping for a special guest appearance from Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus! Please let us know if you have the costume and want to dress up!!
